Year End Report
● 2024 in review - Travis went over items in the attached summary.
● 2025 discussion
-Declining memberships. Travis suggested fun rides & events where membership is
mandatory. Sarah offered to work with the club to promote events on the race
calendar, and will see if we could host an event in May. Another idea: Host a C/D
race. Use the QR code and use it to advertise at camp to encourage memberships
(this is already being done in the new brochures).. Travis will ask Dual Sport BC to
put some of our pamphlets on tables at the motorcycle show. Sarah offered to put
some pamphlets on the PN table as well.
-Low membership involvement in maintenance days could be improved by giving
some swag away? This idea will be followed up on.
-RSTBC - It looks promising for our section, just give it time.
-Directors presence at the camp / on trails is encouraged. Make a point of interacting
with people at the riding area, encouraging membership and involvement..
-FVDRA’s website, does it need a review? Some information is outdated and it could
use a refresh. Sarah and Theresa will chat.
-FVDRA’s 2025 Memberships will have the insurance company’s Speedwaiver
incorporated into the new memberships for now. Sarah ( through PN) and Travis will
dialog with the insurance broker to clarify and push back on the waiver.
-Facebook page. Directors are encouraged to answer questions on the page.
1
-Access to camp (the road) is a detriment, Travis will pursue funding from CLCCF to
improve the road.
-CLCCF has given us a bridge we can use. Travis (and David Lock?) will pursue some
estimates for the engineering and possible placement
