    • Margaret has loaded the waiver app onto her tablet to facilitate off-line waiver completion in the campground

Stakeholder & First Nations Engagement (Kirsten & Theresa/Jennifer)

  • Section 57 – progress update (Kirsten)

    • Meeting with RSTBC is scheduled to discuss moving forward with Section 57 Application for a portion of FVDRA trail network. Road permits and Barrick’s lease area must be considered when proposing trails to be included in the application.

  • Barrick

    • No new news on the lease

  • Cascade Lower Canyon Community Forest 

  • RSTBC 

    • CRAG meeting summary provided by Theresa and Jennifer

    • Last meeting was cancelled, next to take place in April 

  • BCORMA

    • Funding formula unexpectedly change so grant application will hae to be reviewed for the Construction application to make sure it is compliant still.

    • This formula change resulted in a delay in the ORV application dates, which will delay awards of the grants. 

  • Yale First Nation - Chief Hansen may not rerun for election as Chief in the Fall.

Membership Report (Margaret & Ann)

  • Individual Memberships YTD - 8

  • Family Membership YTD - 11

  • Waiver administration issues

    • Review process document for waiver review before membership package completion

    • Off-line waiver administration is possible

Communications Report (Nicole)

  • No update

Finance Report (Theresa)

  • 2023 Budget (Final)

    • Final 2023 budget was reviewed and Kirsten acknowledged that it may change slightly based on the BC ORV Construction grant formula change.

    • Generally, the budget is balanced

  • P&L Update 

    • $(3,470) which is a timing update as the legal fees were paid in 2023 for work done in 2022. 

    • $20,150 in Royal Bank, may explore a GIC for some of the funds in the bank. 

  • Treasurer transition update

    • Storage account - transitioned 

    • Bank account - access established 

    • Paypal account - transitioned

    • BC Societies - access established and annual filings completed

Trail Maintenance & Planning (Jack)

  • Trail Maintenance

    • Maintenance Day is going to have to be moved due to snow, and is moved to April 8th 2023.  Possible option for an egg hunt for campers and families. BBQ along with a fire 

  • Trail Restoration

    • Grant has been applied for with BC ORV grant,  just waiting for the award letter so funds TBD.

  • Trail Signage

    • Maps being updated, stop signs and posts to come, replacement of main map in Kiosk to come once Kirsten finishes the map edits.

    • Trail forks mapping is up to date 

Grounds Maintenance (Kirsten)

  • Learner Loop- 

  • Campground Issues

    • All seems to be in good order with no new graffiti on any of the items, plus all fire pits and tables are in good standing. 

Grant Applications (Kirsten)

  • Cascade Lower Canyon Community Forest (CLCCF)

    • Grant contract signed

  • BC ORV Trails and Construction Funding grant

    • Submitted February 17th, 2023

  • BC ORV Education and Safety grant

    • Submitted February 17th, 2023

Events & Races (Sarah & Nicole)

  • Front Counter submission update

  • 24-Hour race preparation update

    • Poll being put out to get teams together and see how many plan to attend

    • Tim Dyck working on a course plan for the 24 hour race 

    • T-shirts and Graphics being worked on, and collection of fund for the race day to proceed (but help until close to the race day) 

    • the 24 hour race is being hyped up as it has been a long wait. Anticipation is high as many are excited to join the race. 

    • Volunteer list to come and be put out for people to know what they are signing up for. 

    • Road Crossing to be manned during daylight only

    • The location of the start and finish lines TBD
