24hr Events moved to Sept 2/3

24HR Marathon update: With heavy hearts we have made a decision to reschedule the 24hr Marathon considering the dry conditions on the mountain. We had hoped the rain earlier in the week was enough to offset the risk, however it is still dry and the risk too great to the surrounding community. The FVDRA, Yale Nation and community have made a decision to postpone the event to a tentative date of Sept 2/3 .

Racers, do not despair, The Squealing Pig races will soon announce a move to Thanksgiving Weekend due to their even drier conditions and the Sept long weekend was open.

This evening I will notify all the team captains and ironmen, to inquire if the new date works. Refunds will be given if the new date does not work for the team/ironman.
